This was a great gig... Joe Turner came. It was during the years that Charles Brown was totally forgotten. He ripped though. And he always drew a big crowd... older black music lovers. Other famous singers came to say hello during the breaks, but I didn't know who many of them were. Lots of 4/4 rock that night. Super two-handed runs. Charles was doing some rocked up jazz too, like "One Mint Julup". Dottie always had the highest enrgy moments of the night. She had numbers that were guaranteed to do it.
